SAVANNAH, GA. — Police are looking for the gunman who shot and killed a former Appalachian State University football player Thursday night on the campus of Savannah State University.
Christopher Starks was shot during a fight at the student union center on campus.
Channel 9 news partners at the Watauga Democrat confirm Starks used to play football at Appalachian State.

One student said people watched as Starks bled until help arrived.
"Everyone was coming back after the fact he'd been laying there 2-3 minutes by himself," a student said.
Police are still looking for the shooter.
They lifted the campus lockdown at midnight.
Savannah State classes are postponed until 10 a.m.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is handling the case.
