CHARLOTTE — Former Charlotte City Councilmember Claire Fallon has died.
Her family made the announcement on Facebook Sunday morning.

Fallon was described as an outspoken, unapologetic leader who was passionate about Charlotte and the city’s workforce, particularly Charlotte Fire.
Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles said she was fortunate to work with Fallon for many years and admired her commitment to public service.
