POLKTON, N.C. — Lanesboro Correctional Institute in Anson County once housed male inmates.
The facility has been investigated by Channel 9 for several years because of ongoing violence and other issues connected with the prison.
Now, it's called Anson Correctional Institute and houses female offenders.
