Modified schedules are similar to year-round school and usually feature more frequent breaks from school and a shorter summer.
When asked how the earlier start date will impact them, 4% of parents responded positively. 20% responded negatively and 72% said no impact.
When asked how the additional breaks will impact them, 23% of parents said positively. 18% said negatively and 54% said no impact.
Fort Mill leaders haven’t made a final decision. They are still considering the modified schedule for the 2024 to 2025 school year.
