CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Frontier Airlines is adding another nonstop route at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

That flight will travel to Tampa International Airport (TIA) and is one of six new nonstop routes that Frontier will bring to the Florida airport in November. The Charlotte-Tampa flight will begin Nov. 15.
“Charlotte is one of the markets in need of competition,” Kenneth Strickland, TIA’s director of research and air service development. “This will stimulate better fares for the customer.”
Currently, American Airlines is the only airline at the Tampa airport to offer nonstop service to Charlotte.
