GASTONIA, N.C. — Police said two people were hospitalized after an overnight shooting in Gastonia.
Officers responded to the call around 11 p.m. at a home on Carpenter Street.

They said one man showed up at a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed into surgery.

A woman was also shot but is expected to be OK, according to investigators.
Detectives have not said what led to the shooting or if anyone was in custody.
