GASTONIA, N.C. — Gastonia Police are searching for a convicted robber now accused of trying to kill a man in a shooting Thursday.
Channel 9 news partner The Gaston Gazette reports the department is charging Terickus Asbury, 31, with attempted first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.
He’s accused of shooting a 25-year-old man in the leg in the 900 block of North Oakland Street around 5 p.m. on Thursday.
According to the Gazette, Asbury has not been arrested. A search of jail records shows Asbury was last arrested June 3 on a failure to appear charge, but bonded out of the Gaston County Detention Center.
