Students at Granite Quarry Elementary School were sent home early Friday morning because there was no heat in the building.

Officials said that since buses were already in transit, they would finish the route to school, where students would be fed breakfast and then returned home.
School officials assured that no child would be left at their home without a parent or guardian at home. They said child would return back to school until a parent could make arrangements with the school to pick up their child.
