RALEIGH,N.C. — A ground handler for JetBlue was seriously injured on the Terminal 2 ramp at Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Friday morning.
According to WTVD, a baggage tug hit a worker around 7:35 a.m. near the ramp at gate 12 and the employee was transported to Duke Hospital.
RDU officials told Channel 9 that RDU law enforcement and airport operations are investigating the accident to determine if there were any violations of airport rules and regulations that controls the operations of vehicles and equipment in the airfield.
JetBlue told WTVD it will support the investigation into how the worker was hurt.
