Jonas' Belmont restaurant hit with $86K tax lien, payment plan in place

BELMONT, N.C. — Financial woes have hit Nellie’s Southern Kitchen in Belmont — though its owner says the restaurant is addressing that issue.

The N.C. Department of Revenue has filed a tax lien for $86,386.96 against the eatery, according to a filing at the Gaston County Courthouse.

The restaurant is located at 36 N. Main Street, about 20 minutes from uptown Charlotte.

Kevin Jonas Sr. — father to the Jonas Brothers pop-music trio — owns that restaurant. He says he’s worked out a payment plan, putting down $20,000 and paying $1,000 a week toward that balance.
