CHARLOTTE, N.C. — It’s no shock to anyone following Charlotte’s growth story that, while still more affordable than some major metros, the city is becoming a more expensive place to live. A recent report from Move.org takes that into consideration, adding in costs for utilities, gas, groceries and other necessities.
It pegs the cost of living in the Queen City at about $2,150, factoring in rent for a one-bedroom apartment at $1,425, the cost of utilities and Internet access at around $225 combined, and so on.
