CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A west Charlotte kindergarten teacher is accused of assaulting a child.
Teresa Jackson, 55, who teaches at Aristotle Preparatory Academy in west Charlotte, was arrested on Saturday. Jackson is charged with misdemeanor assault on a child younger than 12, police said.
Police said the incident happened just after 7 a.m. Apr. 24. According to a police report, Jackson assaulted a 5-year-old at the school by grabbing the victim's wrist and pushing a book into the child's chest.
