Kings Mountain police say two recent armed robberies are connected

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Police in Kings Mountain are looking for two suspects they believe robbed a pizza place and a convenience store at gunpoint.

The first robbery happened June 6 at a Domino’s Pizza in the 100 block of West King Street, police said.

The second robbery happened just after sunrise on Tuesday morning, less than a quarter-mile from the first scene, at the Amiya Express in the 200 block of West King Street, according to police.

In each case, police said two men dressed in long-sleeved black shirts and carrying black handguns entered the businesses and demanded money. Police said the names Chase and Victor were used by the robbers in the Domino’s Pizza robbery, and Taz, Mike or Mikey were used during the robbery at the Amiya Express.

Police said the suspects in the convenience store robbery assaulted the store clerk during the robbery.
