CHARLOTTE — North Carolina’s first JW Marriott — a luxury flag of Marriott International Inc. — is set to open in Charlotte on Aug. 17.

That high-end hotel is located at the corner of Stonewall and College streets in uptown. It sits across the street from the Charlotte Convention Center.
