Man found guilty of firing shots at officers sentenced

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man accused of firing shots at officers days after committing an armed robbery was sentenced Tuesday.

Ramar Crump was sentenced to a minimum of 72 years in prison after a jury found him guilty.

Crump stole a gun from a home in Albemarle three years ago, deputies said.

He was then seen, a few days later, with two others, loading guns into a car at a North Tryon Street business.

Crump was found guilty of shooting at police after a chase that ended in Cabarrus County.
