CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two gunmen ambushed a manager on New Year's Eve at the SouthPark Mall ice skating rink.
The mall worker was left duct-taped inside a shed while the robbers stole a safe.
The gunmen held up a manager manning the skate rental shed at Winter Wonderland.
"I only come to the SouthPark area because I never hear of anything like that, and to hear of something like that, it's kind of shocking and to be honest,” shopper Jaaminn Ortiz said. “You really are not safe anywhere. For it to be a family place, that's more shocking too."
The victim is OK.
