GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — U.S. Marine couple Samantha Christopher and Benjamin Christopher received the keys to their new home Tuesday with the help of Purple Heart Homes and Bank of America.
The couple enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps together in 2009 and completed training in Parris Island, South Carolina, before both were deployed to Afghanistan.
Samantha Christopher and Benjamin Christopher are Purple Heart recipients for injuries they received during their most recent deployment to Afghanistan in 2013.
The couple received their home Tuesday in Gastonia.
