McCrory greeted by angry protestors in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Governor-elect Pat McCrory was welcomed to Asheville by angry protestors Saturday night.

Roughly 100 people lined the road to the Grove Park Inn with signs that read, "Hands off our water."

The GOP-controlled legislature may force the city to merge the water system with the sewage system.

Protestors wanted to grab McCrory's attention.

The Governor-elect said water and infrastructure are a critical issue for the state.

McCrory will be sworn in as governor on January 5.
