CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have reopened a busy west Charlotte road after a deadly accident involving a pedestrian.
The crash happened at Wilkinson Boulevard and Donald Ross Road – near the Walmart and Bojangles -- just before 10 p.m. Tuesday night.
Police said the victim, 55-year-old Ronald Vance, was trying to cross the street when he was hit by one car, and then by another.
Vance died at the scene.
Police said neither speed nor alcohol was a factor in the accident and no charges have been filed.
