CHARLOTTE — On Saturday, Channel 9 hosted auditions right outside of our studio to cast a new host for the North Carolina STEM Explorers Show.
The show encourages middle school students to study the STEM field.
Each host of the STEM Explorers Show gets a $5,000 scholarship.
One middle schooler told Channel 9 she got the chance to do her audition next to a very famous game show host.
“There was a pop-up of Steve Harvey, and he was like, Would you like to stand with Steve Harvey? and I was like, Sure, so then I did my audition next to Steve Harvey, so that was pretty fun,” Anya Arora said.
North Carolina STEM Explorers will be on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. on TV 64.
