CMPD: Missing 11-year-old girl last seen leaving south Charlotte middle school found safe

CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said a missing 11-year-old girl has been found safe and will be reunited with her family.

Angela Lopez-Ortega was reported missing Tuesday and was last seen leaving Quail Hollow Middle School in south Charlotte that day at 3:20 p.m. at 2901 Smithfield Church Road.

Lopez-Ortega is 4 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 90 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.
