Missing man with diabetes has been located, Concord police say

CONCORD, N.C. — The Concord Police Department said they located 59-year-old Jule Berisford, who went missing from his home in Concord on Sunday.

Berisford left his residence on Oulten Street Southwest around 5 p.m. to go to the Publix grocery store but did not return, prompting his family to report him missing. He is diabetic and requires insulin, and his family notes that he can become confused and disoriented at times.

Berisford was last seen wearing a gold West Virginia University Mountaineers hooded sweatshirt, a black baseball hat with the letter “P” on the front, and blue jeans. He is described as 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 195 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair.

He drives a white 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe with North Carolina license plate HBZ-3525, which has damage to the front right fender. The vehicle was last seen heading north on Kannapolis Parkway near Highway 73.
