MONROE, N.C. — A Monroe mother is being charged with child abuse after police said they accidentally found her children alone at home.
Latoya Baker was arrested on Saturday night when police went to her home, intending to go to a different home, and found her three young children alone.
Police said they had no idea of her whereabouts.
Officers said Baker returned home half an hour later and said she had gone out to buy Kool-Aid.
