MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Ghostface Brewing is turning to the Charlotte-area community to raise $50,000 to support its planned expansion.
The Mooresville brewery has launched a fundraising effort via Mainvest, a community funding platform. The goal is to raise at least $50,000 over the next 57 days, but to $150,000 could be generated.
Ghostface owner and head brewer Michael Cuddy had been working with the U.S. Small Business Administration in recent months to line up funding. Then Covid-19 hit.
“It’s hard to get a loan right now,” Cuddy says.
Enter Mainvest. That platform allows community members to invest in the brewery, for as little as $100.
