DURHAM, N.C. — From Monopoly to Trivial Pursuit, we have all played board games -- especially during all those weeks spent at home.
Two brother in North Carolina created their own board game and they got a major boost from gamers who want to support them and the “Black Lives Matter” movement.
The brothers created the game “Rap Godz.”
A popular Youtuber noticed the game last week and promised to donate $10 for every copy sold to “Black Lives Matter.”
The donations kept growing from there to more than $80,000 for the movement, according to our news partner WTVD.
“It’s really just about broadening our social circle to invite more people who are different than us into them,” Omari Akil said.
The game is now sold out online. The creator hopes retail stores will also sell it.
