CHARLOTTE — Food banks across the Carolinas got a big boost to their funding thanks to a major donation from a state bank this week.
“Feeding the Carolinas” got a $500,000 grant from the State Employees Credit Union Foundation.
The money comes as families seek additional support during the holidays. Over 1.6 million North Carolinians face food insecurity.
