CHARLOTTE — State transportation leaders will be in Charlotte Wednesday to launch a new highway construction academy.
The academy will be the first of its kind in the area and will teach people basic road work skills and how to use heavy equipment.
The program is free, and will run throughout the year.
Local leaders are confident graduates will find jobs working on construction projects happening across our area.
