A Pennsylvania company that makes concrete sound barriers for highway projects will spend almost $7 million to open a 60-employee plant in Chester County.
Faddis Concrete Products of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, expects to begin production later this year in an existing building, located at 2794 Old Richburg Road in the Richburg area of the county, about 40 miles south of Charlotte.

J. Robert Hess Jr., president of Faddis, says the plant will be the sixth facility for the family-owned company.
“Specializing in precast concrete for highway construction, we pride ourselves in maintaining a small company/family feel,” Hess says. The Richburg community has already made Faddis seem welcome as the company begins its search for local employees, Hess adds.
