CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Midtown Tavern is now welcoming its neighbors. The establishment recently opened at 1500 E. 3rd Street — formerly home to DeSano’s Pizza. Covid-19 delayed the venue’s opening and forced it to cut its menu because of procurement issues, says Susan Schall.
“I’m just thankful we’re open,” she says.
Schall and Gennaro Vitale are behind the venture. They saw an opportunity to create a community gathering spot with affordable prices to help build a regular clientele in the Cherry and Elizabeth neighborhoods.
