NEWTON, N.C. — Firefighters responded to a fire outside an industrial building Saturday morning in Newton.
A passerby saw an AC heater unit smoking outside Continental Structural Plastics at about 5:15 a.m.
Both Newton and Conover fire departments responded to the fire at 1400 Burris Road.
No one was at the company at the time.
