CHARLOTTE — Novant health nurse Wendy Cort said she is grateful to be alive after a battle with COVID-19 in March.
“They had done everything they could to keep me alive,” said Cort, who has been a nurse for 35 years.

Cort spent 17 days in the ICU on a ventilator for 17 days.
“I should not have survived,” she said.
