Officials: 2 displaced after south Charlotte condo fire

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two people were forced from their south Charlotte home Sunday after a fire broke out in their condominium complex, Red Cross officials said.

The fire started in a first floor unit at the Creswick Condominiums on Stockbridge Drive, officials said.

One resident said she couldn't believe it because her previous apartment complex had a fire about a year ago.

"I was really surprised it happened again. It just really scared me and it was underneath me this time so it really kind of worried me," Sandra Moretti said.

No injuries were reported.

The cause is under investigation.
