The Huntersville Police Department issued arrest warrants for three men in connection with an assault with a deadly weapon call at Wells Fargo Bank off Statesville Road in Huntersville Saturday.
Police said the victim agreed to meet an individual to purchase an Xbox, and the transaction was set up using a mobile phone app called OfferUp Saturday.
Upon arriving, the victim was met by three men in a silver 1990’s model Nissan Altima.
The driver of the Nissan Altima shot the victim, and all three men left the scene.
The suspects were not located at the scene.
The Huntersville Police Department executed a search warrant related to this case off Varsity Lane in Charlotte.
Police said arrest warrants have been obtained for Sheldon Darnell Williams, 20, for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Arrest warrants have also been obtained for Antwan Dwayne Monk, 24, for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Police said arrest warrants were also obtained for Anthony Montrell Funderburk, 19, for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Funderburk was arrested and is currently in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
