CHARLOTTE — A penthouse condo at The Ivey’s building hit the market over the weekend priced at just under $3 million, making it the most expensive home listing in uptown Charlotte.
The 4,400-square-foot unit — officially listed for sale on Jan. 29 for $2.95 million — includes four bedrooms and three full bathrooms. It is on the top floor of that six-story building at 127 N. Tryon St., in between North Tryon and North Church streets along West Fifth Street.
The condo is listed by Shane McDevitt, who owns Charlotte-based boutique luxury residential real estate brokerage The McDevitt Co.
The condo has undergone a modern makeover and now boasts a linear gas fireplace, home-automation system and large primary bedroom with a sitting area, according to the listing. It notes that the great room features 16-foot ceilings and two walls of 11-foot windows. The white gourmet kitchen is equipped with a red Swedish Aga oven.
Other features of the condo include an entertaining space with room for a snooker table, wine cellar, office with views of Fourth Ward, upstairs bonus room and in-unit storage. The condo includes three assigned parking spaces in a controlled-access garage, according to its listing.
