CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A worker died after falling at a construction site Sunday morning in Charlotte’s South End neighborhood, paramedics said.
According to a police report, James Leece slipped off a ladder on a balcony just before 9 a.m. at a 5-story building at Camden Road and West Kingston Avenue, officials said.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said the fall was being treated as an accident.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration officials are investigating the fall.
