CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A pickup truck was forced to careen into a car dealership lot and flipped onto a sports car early Wednesday evening, officials said.

The pickup truck was exiting the Idlewild Road ramp onto East Independence Boulevard when a tanker truck pushed it over the right-of-way and into the Town and Country Ford car dealership lot.
The pickup truck flipped onto a Ford Mustang and damaged a second vehicle.
One person suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Atrium Health.
