CHARLOTTE — Piper’s at Galway Hooker has permanently closed in Cornelius. The longtime Irish pub — which operated as the Galway Hooker for 20-plus years — was located at 17044 Kenton Drive, part of the Kenton Place development.

“We thank you for being a great guest. Keep a lookout for a new concept this spring,” the outgoing message on its voicemail says.
