ANSON COUNTY, N.C. — A Pageland, South Carolina, couple wants to create a winery, events and entertainment venue in Anson County that would attract visitors and tourist dollars to the rural setting.
Plans call for the 50-acre site, which will be called Vineyard at The Old Place, to include a 2,400-square-foot tasting room, renovated historic buildings and a muscadine vineyard. It will be open for reunions, festivals, parties and other events.
