• Police: 19-year-old killed in Lenoir crash

    LENOIR, N.C. - A 19-year-old man was killed in a wreck Tuesday morning in Lenoir.

    Police told Channel 9 Allen Barnes crashed on Ellerwood Road where it meets Freezer Locker Road around 5 a.m.

    Barnes was driving in the car with his wife, Courtney Barnes, when police said he crossed the center line and hit another vehicle driven by Tammy Houck.


    A crash reconstruction team will be out at the scene Tuesday afternoon.

    Channel 9 reporter Dave Faherty is at the scene and will have more information as it becomes available.
