STATESVILLE, N.C. — A 2-month-old baby was killed in a head-on crash in Statesville Thursday evening, police say.
A car was driving down Museum Road when it crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic.
In one car were the driver and two passengers -- a 2-year-old and a 2-month-old baby. That car hit a second car head-on.
The 2-month-old, Jamaree Simpson, died from her injuries.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital, police said. The driver of the first car is in critical condition, while the second driver is in stable condition. The 2-year-old is also in the hospital but police have not said how they are doing.
Police have not said what caused the driver to crash, or if there will be any charges.
