• Police: 2 arrested in connection with north Charlotte murder

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have arrested two men in connection with a north Charlotte murder.
    Officers arrested 38-year-old Frederick Gales on Tuesday and took 53-year-old Keith Jones into custody late Thursday night.

    They have been charged with the murder of Dexter Lattimore last Saturday on Julia Avenue.

    When police responded to the shooting call around 4:45 a.m. last Saturday, they found Lattimore unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

    Both men were in jail Friday morning.
