• Police identify man killed in Monday apartment shooting


    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte-Mecklenburg police identified a man shot and killed in east Charlotte on Monday.

    They said Micah Atkinson was found wounded at the Kimmerly Glen apartments on Endolwood Road. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

    Officers did not identify a second man who was shot and is being treated for his injuries.

    Police said they don't know how many people they're looking for, but they said they believe at least one of the victims was targeted by the shooter.
