CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two people were shot Friday night at the Park Creek Apartments off Milton Road in northeast Charlotte, according to police.
Witnesses said they saw a fight between a group of men over money before shots were fired.
Two men were on the ground with gunshot wounds when police arrived.
One suffered from a gunshot wound to the back and the other to the stomach.
They are expected to survive.
Witnesses said two men were demanding payment from the victims when the two men got in a car and started firing.
Meanwhile, neighbors said this investigation has them concerned for their safety since no arrests have been made.
"They told me some people got shot," Laquanda Nelson said. "The first thing that came to mind was my son and that's when I came rushing back. It's a nice neighborhood until somebody wants to come act stupid."
Police are looking for two men in a silver car seen traveling towards Milton Road.
