The Belmont Police Department is investigating after an armed man robbed the Walgreens on Wilkinson Boulevard Saturday around 2:12 a.m.
Police said the robber jumped the counter and flashed a handgun. He reportedly stole an unknown quantity of narcotics.
The man fled the Walgreens on foot, but police believe he was picked up by a vehicle waiting nearby.
The man is believed to be black, in his mid-30s and 5 feet 10 inches tall. Security footage shows that he has short hair and some facial hair. He was wearing a black hoodie, blue denim jeans and gray shoes, and was carrying a gray backpack.
No one was injured.
