CONOVER, N.C. — Police arrested a man accused in a deadly shooting in Conover late Wednesday night.
Conover police along with the SBI have been on the scene all night after one person was killed and another injured in the shooting.
Officers told Channel 9 the shooting began as a domestic situation that left a man dead and a woman hospitalized.
Police responded to the shooting at a home on Third Street Place SW around 9 p.m. They said Daniel Williamson, 25, shot two people, killing Michael Beltran, 25, and injuring Lisa Vanhoogen, 28.
Officials said Vanhoogen, who was shot twice, is expected to recover, and that Beltran was shot multiple times.

Police said Williamson left the scene and returned later when he crashed his car, and that he was armed when he came back to the house.
Officers have recovered the gun.
Police said Williamson was “yelling about Obama and how he'd been set up” before they arrested him.
Investigators said all involved knew each other, but have not said what the relationship between the three was or the motive behind the shooting.
"I want folks to know my son is a good man and something must have happened to make him snap and shoot somebody," Daniel Williamson’s mother Resa Williamis said.
"Daniel is an amazing father,” his former girlfriend Megan Masoud said. “He is such a good father he loves his kids. This is not him at all."
Williamson is charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He is being held at the Catawba County Detention Center without bond.
