CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One lane of Wilkinson Boulevard is shut down after Charlotte Water crews cut a gas line in the area, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
Police said the lane closure on Wilkinson Boulevard is between Ashley Road and Donald Ross Road in west Charlotte.
Officials said they anticipate the repair work to take between two to four hours.
Drivers are advised to take alternate routes on Alleghany Street, Old Steele Creek Road, or Remount Road.
Piedmont Natural Gas told Channel 9 they have a crew headed to the scene now to assess the situation.
