Pollen expected to cause big problems for allergy sufferers

CHARLOTTE — Spring has arrived and so has the pollen. But if you think it’s bad now, the sneezing and sniffling is expected to get worse.

In addition to pollen levels skyrocketing, mold is also expected to create problems after the recent rain in the Charlotte area.

Cedar, oak and Bradford pears have been some of the main players so far, but as we move into April, mulberry, ash and birch will start to bloom.
