Carowinds experienced a brief power glitch Wednesday afternoon while hundreds of people were at the theme park.
Duke Energy said there was an outage around 3:30 p.m. in another circuit in the area, which caused reduced voltage to Carowinds. Duke Energy said the theme park experienced a power flicker rather than a full power outage.
The brief power flicker did impact some rides and forced the rides to stop, Carowinds said.
Park workers said all guests were able to get off the stuck rides safely.
Carowinds said all rides were back up and running around 4:45 p.m.
