CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A joke in the TSA line at Charlotte Douglas International Airport put a Marine behind bars the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Police arrested Joseph Simkus after they said he made a bomb threat at the airport.

Channel 9 obtained the police report and it shows Simkus told a TSA agent they should check his shoes for C-4, an explosive.
After he interviewed, the report shows Simkus told police he likes to joke around, was in a good mood and was just happy because he was on his way to see his family.
Simkus is a Marine at Cherry Point and told investigators he knows what C-4 is.
He's due back in court on Dec. 20.
