CHARLOTTE, N.C. — More than 100 residents packed into a meeting Tuesday night in north Charlotte to voice their frustration about delayed construction.
The construction they are concerned about is extending Graham Street at Sugar Creek Road to Mallard Creek and extending City Boulevard from Neal Road to Mallard Creek.
Barriers have been set out since 2013 and the project to extend Graham Street and widen intersections was supposed to be completed in October.
Work stalled when crews ran into problems moving utility lines, North Carolina Department of Transportation officials said.
Residents were told Tuesday it may be another three to four months before utility work starts up again.
Transportation workers will be able to pave the extension once that is done but there is no timeline for the final completion.
